Reverted your edit for Progress and Advancement (sculpture)
[edit]Hi, I've reverted your edit for Progress and Advancement (sculpture) since Newspaper.com is an archive of newspapers and thus should be cited as a newspaper rather than a website. I hope you understand! Icepinner (formerly Imbluey2). Please ping me so that I get notified of your response 02:10, 1 June 2025 (UTC)

Darren Ng name
[edit]Hello, I noticed you reverted my edit on Darren Ng's page. I should add that it wasn't just an assumption and I actually PMed him on social media where he said he comes from Teochew family, but I understand that's not a reputable source that can be cited.
However the Pinyin in the top section to me at least still seems like it might confuse people why it looks so different from his name, is there any kind of middle ground on this topic? I totally understand if there's not, but it's just frustrating having information that I know is correct, but hasn't been said anywhere citeable and therefore can't be used. ChromeBones (talk) 21:17, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
- @ChromeBones. Hi! Unfortunately, while there is some middle ground usually somewhere in Wikipedia, for BLP, the middle ground is very little as there might be issues when the wrong things are published in Wikipedia. Even if you add that it is not an assumption and stated that it is via private DMs, it would not pass Wikipedia's policies as well, especially verifiability. Without knowing details about him, is him commonly known by his Teochew name especially since he is residing in Australia, I doubt that is the case.
- The next best thing I can think of, ask him to make an instagram post, saying he is of Teochew dialect / descent. While it may be primary source, iirc, there is an exception for that for the person stating uncontroversial basic facts like "Today is my birthday, celebrating my 30th!", so this can translate to him saying "I am proud of my Teochew Heritage" etc.
- I have no preference for Pinyin to be shown, and if it feels misleading, remove both the Chinese name and pinyin. I suggest removing both as people will ask how to pronounce his Chinese name and Pinyin will be added eventually. However, this may eventually leads to people asking for his Chinese name. You see the circle which we are stuck inside?
- Nonetheless, thank you for messaging me here first! ~ JASWE (talk) 02:50, 7 July 2025 (UTC)

[edit] Please do not add or change content, as you did at Joanne Peh, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. Cassiopeia talk 04:28, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hello Justanothersgwikieditor, Please do NOT restore unsourced content. Any changes/added content needs to be supported by independent, reliable source for verification as this is the core policy of Wikipedia. You can add them back if you have source to support the content added. Cassiopeia talk 04:30, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Cassiopeia I think you have been very hasty on reversion. I reverted, added source and still working on to find sources. You have removed 6 sources in the process. ~ JASWE (talk) 04:30, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Cassiopeia, did you even see this edit here that I provided a source? ~ JASWE (talk) 04:31, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
- Yes for 2025 award and not the rest which you restored. You can add back the 2025 award but not the rest. You have been added sources for many of Singaporean entertainers and I believe you understand why the unsourced info it removed. Cassiopeia talk 04:34, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Cassiopeia You have also removed 6 sources. So will you restore the 6 sources? Also, time is needed to get most of the sources back. In less than 5 minutes, you expected that I could have sourced all and insert all the sources. Not even a little good faith given? ~ JASWE (talk) 04:37, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Cassiopeia My apologies, as the initial table was rather large and I thought you had removed the whole table, I noted that you had only trimmed those without sources. I urge that you let me restore the unsourced portion so I can use the existing articles to get sources from, instead from ground zero. Again, my apologies for not double checking. ~ JASWE (talk) 04:42, 25 July 2025 (UTC)

- This-1 was the version before my revert. This-2 was my edit. I kept the sourced info. Cassiopeia talk 04:46, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
- : OK. I noticed you have help to add sources for Singaporean actress/actors pages. Restore and add the sources of those said articles. I will check in a week and will removed all unsourced info. If you restore info without source, you will receive next level warning. As you know one of the editor who edited the same pages have been blocked from editing for not providing source. Thank you for your contribution and help adding source. Stay safe and regards. Cassiopeia talk 04:53, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
