Hello @Graham Beards. I notice that you reverted my edit, where you said nobody does this routinely i.e. treating male partners of women with bacterial vaginosis using oral metronidazole and topical clindamycin. However this is now being done by some people https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c2lj7e0519xo "Given the findings, the clinic has now changed its clinical practice to routinely treat both partners."
I understand your view point, however a well conducted randomised clinical trial is regarded as the gold standard for interventional evidence. Also, citing primary studies is not strictly prohibited on Wikipedia for biomedical evidence.

- Hi @Ear-phone. I have only just seen this. What a strange place to leave a comment: on the talk page of one of my (many) sub-pages! You must of had to create the page. Anyhow, WP:MEDRS says "Findings are often touted in the popular press as soon as primary research is reported, before the scientific community has analyzed and commented on the results. Therefore, such sources should generally be omitted (see recentism). I think this applies. Graham Beards (talk) 12:32, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
