Women in Red

[edit]

Hi there, Goddale120, and welcome to Women in Red. It's good to see you now intend to create articles about women. You'll find guidance in our essays, perhaps starting with our Ten Simple Rules. Unless you already have someone in mind, you might find women deserving coverage in your fields of interest by browsing through our Redlist index. You should however make sure those you choose are backed by pertinent information in at least three reliable independent sources. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 09:10, 20 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks,
I hope there are no worries, I'm working with a librarian at my university and some of my peers in planning out an article. No surprise an LIS program would lead to opportunities like that! Jumping right in to article creation solo would not have worked I believe, especially with the stricter guidelines regarding biographies.
Have a nice day! Goddale120 (talk) 13:09, 20 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Now that Martha Flaherty is on mainspace, you may be inspired to create more women's biographies. Just let me know if ever you need any help with your drafts.--Ipigott (talk) 12:11, 22 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I'll have to think carefully in the future, but when I do, I plan on emulating my instructor's great work on Flaherty. I'll need to practice on my own though, aside from a bit of research I mostly just figured out some mark-up and citation formatting. I think my strengths lie in collaboration honestly.
Helping was so satisfying though, I want to recapture that feeling. Contributing something other than copyedits to my favourite website and general information resource is really nice. Goddale120 (talk) 19:49, 22 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
