Collaboration question
[edit]Question - would you be interested in helping with writing a (hopefully) FA-class article about the 2024 Lakeview tornado? I've given up with FA aspirations on Greensburg tornado, the amount of reference work really steals any motivation I have left. I have a relatively old draft up at Draft:2024 Indian Lake tornado but it needs work. I'm also (at the time of writing) going to ask Tails Wx and Hoguert, who hopefully can also help out. :) — EF5 01:09, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- Also, I can confirm that this tornado does meet WP:NTORNADO; here's some coverage from 8 days ago. — EF5 01:11, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- I don't doubt that it's notable. Maybe in the coming days. I need to sort out a GAN for Edwardsville Amazon warehouse collapse (and will try to eventually take that to FAC). Departure– (talk) 01:15, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- Good luck with that! Seems to be in great shape after a read. If you need any help with that, I'm always open. — EF5 01:47, 2 July 2025 (UTC)

New draft was started! I went ahead and put a note for assistance on WikiProject Law's talk page, but I wanted to let you know since you created one of the lawsuit-related articles! The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 14:49, 2 July 2025 (UTC)

Belvidere Apollo Theatre collapse scheduled for TFA
[edit]This is to let you know that the above article has been scheduled as today's featured article for 5 August 2025. Please check that the article needs no amendments. Feel free to amend the draft blurb, which can be found at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/August 2025, or to make comments on other matters concerning the scheduling of this article at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/August 2025. Please keep an eye on that page, as notifications of copy edits to or queries about the draft blurb may be left there by user:JennyOz, who assists the coordinators by reviewing the blurbs, or by others. I also suggest that you watchlist Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors from two days before it appears on the Main Page. Thanks, and congratulations on your work! Gog the Mild (talk) 15:04, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, I think it would be best if the blurb would run on March 31, 2026; if this isn't possible then let me know. I know anniversaries are most impactful and there aren't any other tornadoes from March 31, 2023 specifically at FAC yet, and getting this on TFA then was my intent. DYK for Edwardsville Amazon warehouse collapse
[edit]On 4 July 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Edwardsville Amazon warehouse collapse, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that after a tornado strike at a St. Louis-area Amazon warehouse killed six workers, the rebuilt warehouse still had no proper storm shelter? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Edwardsville Amazon warehouse collapse. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Edwardsville Amazon warehouse collapse), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

[edit]On 8 July 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article 2025 St. Louis tornado, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. Welp, my latest interest has brought me straight to the streets of your state's largest city (figuratively, of course, I wouldn't dare go to Chicago's hoods). I realized at 3:00 am this morning that many post-2010 Chicago gang members and things relating to those gangs are seriously lacking articles, despite being notable. I'm letting you know because I feel like I see you edit the articles of street rappers sometimes. Feel free to help, although the topics are dark so it's completely fine if not. — EF5 21:42, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
- I've taken a relatively big, if informal, step away from editing (as you can see from my contributions), but when I'm back (when, not if!), I'll consider helping out. Despite this time of year bringing the most severe weather to where I am, it isn't the best for keeping me editing when I have numerous other important and not-so-important things I could be doing instead.
