WikiTribune roll-back

[edit]

Regarding: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=WikiTribune&oldid=prev&diff=1272249651

Just to say that, on reflection, I agree with your interpretation.

(Also to say that I single-handedly authored two articles for WikiTribune titled "German students strike for coal exit and green future" and "Scholars seek open access in academic journal deal". And both now only exist on the Wayback Machine. I am certainly irked about this but that should not impact my editing decisions.)

Quotes

[edit]

Not the biggest deal if it's there or not but you should be aware of WP:QUOTEFARM. Moxy🍁 23:56, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi- I just wanted to thank you for the note, and my apologies for not getting back to you. I had plans about coming up with an alternate wording but then I got sidetracked. I still have a problem with "embodies a breezy, emotive style" but I'm not going to do anything about it. Regards, Dan Bloch (talk) 19:55, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Mars bar

[edit]

The mars bar is not marketed as a milky way in the USA. That is a separate bar of chocolate the milky way was made first and the mars bar is a separate chocolate developed in the UK after the milky way. Regardless are you getting an error message when following the link that you put in the footnote 82.41.125.193 (talk) 19:55, 14 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what you're getting at. A nougat and caramel bar coated with milk chocolate is sold as a Milky Way in the United States and a Mars bar in the rest of the world, which is what the article says.
I've fixed the bad link in the citation. Thanks. Regards, Dan Bloch (talk) 20:52, 14 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
They are two different bars of chocolate a us milky.way is not the same as a mar bar sold in the rest of the world. It shows this in the main article . Though they do contain similar ingredients the UK mars bar was based off the USA milky way but it is not the same bar of chocolate. Sharnadd (talk) 07:37, 20 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Neither of the conflicting sources is that compelling, but it's not worth continuing to argue about. Carry on. Dan Bloch (talk) 06:07, 21 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
