I just saw your changes on that concerned page that I contributed yesterday removing some of the details of the particular event. Thanks for the reply. I realized I was a bit careless yesterday while working on something, as I didn’t pay enough attention to the policies. After receiving your message today, it became clear to me that I need to approach this differently. Moving forward, I’ll make sure to rewrite any web text I found online in my own words and avoid taking shortcuts. Also, if I use rewriting assistant tools like Grammarly or AI tools, would this also violate copyright? cyrfaw (talk) 13:03, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The use of those tools does not violate copyright, but neither is recommended at this time due to the frequency and types of errors they create. For example, some editors have commented that chatbots tend to do too-close paraphrasing rather than creating original prose or even copy material unaltered (which is indeed a copyvio, whether done by as human or a bot), and spell-checking can introduce errors due to the different available variants of English.
Also, when editing an article, it's a good idea to draw on multiple sources and consolidate what you learn into a summary of those sources. It's really not possible to do that with the automated tools presently available. Everybody who wants to contribute prose to Wikipedia should know how to write their own content without reliance on automated tools. Diannaa (talk) 13:41, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you again. I’ve taken note of the copyright warning. As an admin, I noticed that you deleted the revisions I made. Was this done as a precaution against copyright issues? Revision deletion is done to completely remove copyvio from view, since old revisions of an article are still available to the public if they know where to look. Diannaa (talk) 14:46, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The World Destubathon

Hello. You're invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It will be held from Monday June 16 - Sunday July 13. There is over $3300 going into it, with $500 the top prize. If you are interested in winning something to save you money in buying books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for subjects which interest you, sign up on the page in the participants section if interested. Readdition of Isaac Herzog

Hi, your recent edit readded the Israeli President to the infobox, after he was previously removed. What is the reasoning behind doing so? The Israeli presidency is a ceremonial figurehead role, and as such Herzog is not involved in matters of war, policy, etc. in general, including the planning, command, decision-making, etc. of the present war. 79.183.195.118 (talk) 18:15, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
