[edit] Hello, I'm DEFCON5. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Aligarh Muslim University, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. defcon5 (talk) 14:08, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
Hi BongPhysicist! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Aligarh Muslim University that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. defcon5 (talk) 14:10, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

- Thank you for the helpful feedback on the previous submission.
- I have now substantially revised the draft to address the notability and sourcing concerns. Specifically:
- 1. I have added multiple secondary, reliable, and independent sources that provide in-depth coverage of the Sir Syed Global Scholar Award (SSGSA), including coverage from Hindustan Times, Business Standard, The Higher Education Review, Ummid News, Muslim Mirror etc.
- 2. These sources offer detailed reports on the award's recipients, the program's history, and its impact, going beyond passing mentions.
- 3. The article has been rewritten to reflect a neutral, encyclopedic tone, with citations clearly attributing information to verifiable sources.
- 4. The program's collaborations with U.S. institutions and its role in international research contributions, including recognition by the Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics, have also been cited using an independent university press release.
- I believe the subject now meets the general notability guidelines for inclusion on Wikipedia, and I respectfully request reconsideration of the draft for acceptance.
- Thank you again for your time and guidance. BongPhysicist (talk) 14:24, 5 June 2025 (UTC)

- Thank you for the feedback on the earlier draft. I have now revised the article thoroughly to address the concerns raised:
- 1. The tone has been rewritten to adopt a neutral, encyclopedic style, avoiding promotional language.
- 2. The article now cites a diverse range of independent, reliable, and secondary sources, including coverage from Business Standard, Hindustan Times, The Higher Education Review, and others. These sources independently verify the program’s activities and impact.
- 3. I have removed or reworded subjective phrasing and emphasized factual reporting based on coverage from reputable publications.
- 4. Notability is demonstrated through sustained media attention over multiple years, the international academic footprint of its alumni, and its inclusion in collaborations recognized by prestigious awards such as the Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics.
- I believe these changes bring the article in line with Wikipedia’s policies on neutrality, verifiability, and notability. Thank you again for your time and consideration. BongPhysicist (talk) 21:51, 5 June 2025 (UTC)
