Welcome!
Hello, Bemloko, and welcome to Wikipedia! I have noticed that you are fairly new! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. I also see that some of your recent edits show an interest in the use of images and/or photos on Wikipedia.
Did you know that ...
- ...Wikipedia has a very stringent image use policy?
- ...most images from Flickr, online news websites, and other web sources are copyrighted?
- ...Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously?
- ...freely-licensed images should be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, a central location for images where they can be used on all Wikipedia projects?
- ...we recommend that new users use our "files for upload" process – at least until you get the hang of things?
If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{Help me}}
on your talk page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

- Hello @Marchjuly! I hope I added the context needed for this exact image. As a matter of fact I'm quite ancient on the Portuguese Wikipedia, but just now started contributing in English as well. I appreciate your swift response! Bemloko ᴬʰᵒʸ! ᵀᵃˡᵏ ᵗᵒ ᵐᵉ 07:50, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
File source problem with File:Eusebio Scheid.jpg
[edit]
Thank you for uploading File:Eusebio Scheid.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:37, 18 February 2025 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Eusebio Scheid.jpg
[edit]
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Eusebio Scheid.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under the non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:38, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hey! Hope the current rationale is per Wikipedia's guidelines and policies. Bemloko ᴬʰᵒʸ! ᵀᵃˡᵏ ᵗᵒ ᵐᵉ 07:51, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for adding the missing rationale and source information. The non-free use of this file can almost certainly be justified in the main infobox of Eusébio Oscar Scheid, and I've fixed the non-free use rationle for that particular use; however, there's really no way to justify the file's non-free use in List of cardinals of Brazil: English Wikipedia's non-free content use policy pretty much never allows non-free files to be used in such a way per WP:NFLISTS. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:58, 18 February 2025 (UTC)

The diff template
[edit]With regards to your edits here, I think it would be wise for you to learn how to use the {{diff}} template. For instance
{{diff|Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents|1278857967|1278855046|this example}}
will produce- this example
Peaceray (talk) 01:56, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Peaceray: Hello. TYSM for explaining this, in the Portuguese Wikipedia the {{diff}} template is prettier to the eyes, with a delta icon (Δ) and more to the point, linking directly to comparisons between intermediate edits, instead of just linking directly to a single oldid in question. I didn't know how to find similar templates in here before, and no one cared enough to help me out in this. Bemloko ᴬʰᵒʸꜝ✉ 02:04, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
- In my skins, there is usually a link to the Wikidata item for a template page. If you are able to get from pt:Predefinição:Diff to Template:Diff (Q7830880), then you should be able to find the corresponding English template. This is not the case with all templates, as some are not implemented in other languages, & some templates like {{ill}} differ in their implementation, but often you can find something roughly corresponding. [edit]Hi. You added to this article to the category "Autistic Wikipedians". While this may be factually correct, its Wikipedia's policy that categories must be supported by information on the webpage, and there's nothing that proves the user's neurodiversity status. If you want to substantiate this, you must find a citation from a reliable source and insert the information using that citation as a supporting reference. Absent this, the category cannot be added - so please don't revert my removal. Let me know if you have any questions. 68.147.76.248 (talk) 09:12, 3 April 2025 (UTC)
- Noting here that this is clearly inaccurate. Requesting a source is demanding WP:OUTING, and the category describes itself as,
This page contains Wikipedians who have identified themselves on Wikipedia as being on the autism spectrum.
(Emphasis mine.) If an editor adds themselves to the category, that is self-evident proof that they have identified themselves as being part of that category. EducatedRedneck (talk) 11:09, 3 April 2025 (UTC)
