- ^ To be withdrawn between December 2025 & December 2026
- ^ Formed of eight sets of 9 carriages. To be replaced starting 2027 by 10 ten car Class 897 tri-mode (electric, diesel and battery power) Civity trains from CAF
- ^ Have to be removed in about the next 12 months (approx June 2026) and likely to be replaced by British Rail Mark 5A
- ^ Formed of seven sets of 4 or 5 carriages, with a spare DVT, SV and TOE
- ^ The 2 Grand Central units are due to go off-lease in September 2025. These in addition to the remaining 6 ex-Avanti West Coast units are to be split between future open access operators
- ^ To be replaced by 33 new Class 810 units in 2026. First sets to go off lease in September 2025
- ^ Entry into service delayed to 2026
- ^ 6 sets of doors per carriage
- ^ 10 additional 9 carriage sets have been ordered
- ^ Full entry in to service is expected to take 24 months from Jan 2024
- ^ 4 sets of doors per carriage
- ^ 37 350/2 units being replaced by Class 730 in early 2024
- ^ Classes 375 and 377 differ only in their coupler configuration and other minor fittings; all Southern units built as Class 375 have since been converted to Class 377 couplers and re-classed. Minor differences in interior trim remain
- ^ 377/6 and 377/7s have been built with different exteriors, matching the 379s and 387s
- ^ 7 further sets are due to move to Southeastern before the end of the year (total 13)
- ^ The Class 378s were constructed in three separate batches - 24 three car units designated as Class 378/0 with dual voltage capability were utilised on the North London Line and West London Line. 20 four car DC-only units designated Class 378/1 were built for the East London Line. 13 four car Class 378/2s were also built, and the 378/0s had an extra car added to make them 378/2s. All later extended to 5 cars
- ^ The Class 379s incorporate some technical features of the proposed Aventra Mark II Electrostar. However they are outwardly similar to classes 375 and 377
- ^ The nine 2 carriage units were converted from Class 170
- ^ Inter City services
- ^ Stansted Express services
- ^ A total of 10 two car trains and 16 three car trains to be transferred by the end of 2026
- ^ To be replaced by 9 five car Hitachi AT300 trains in 2028
- ^ Leased until 2027 at the earliest
- ^ Southeastern has issued a ITT for up to 640 vehicles (160 4-carriage trains) with prequalification to be completed in November 2023 and in service date of October 2027 and are most likely to at least partially replace these Networker units
- ^ Remaining 30 TfW units to be replaced 2024/25
- ^ Converted from Class 155
- ^ Transport for Wales units to due stay for approximately 5 years (to around 2030)
- ^ The 24 Tfw units to be replaced by Class 197 in 2024/25
- ^ To be replaced when Class 701 enters service sometime in 2025/26
