In 2018, she moved to Japan to start her acting career and one the same year, made a cameo in the Japanese drama Love Rerun. She then debuted as a singer by releasing covers of the song PLANET on YouTube.
In 2019, she featured in the NHK program Learn Chinese by Watching TV. On the same year, she voiced Marron in the animation One Piece: Stampede and appeared on the TBS variety show Double Bed. Her film debut came in 2021 with the short film DIVOC-12 by Sony Pictures. In 2022, she appeared in the drama Shared! Instant Noodle Improvement Club and played Princess Mei Chang in the live-action film Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter. In 2023, she acted in the drama Hana Sugisaki’s Work Break on WOWOW.

Early life
[edit]Zhang was born on 1982 in Duyun city in Qiannan Bouyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou. His parents and grandparents came from Chongqing to work in a bridge factory in Duyun during the Third Front Construction period. In the college entrance examination, he chose to apply for the vocal music department at Guizhou University, but ultimately failed to pass due to poor grades. He then enrolled in the drama performance major at the School of Art at Guizhou University . After graduation, he joined the Guizhou Provincial Repertory Theatre.
