A few things about me: I have been an editor here for about 18 years (first edit), although I only recorded 29 edits between 2011 and 2015. I am also an administrator, which means I have a few extra clean-up tools. I passed my RFA in 2008, back when adminship was truly no big deal. I was an admin from January 2008 to June 2009. I resigned the tools for seven years during a period of mostly minimal editing, but then had them restored in May 2016 when I started editing consistently again. I am bold when it comes to making administrative actions. That said, I will never revert another admin who has undone one of my administrative actions. I mainly edit articles within the Green Bay Packers WikiProject, although I do edit some random articles from time to time. I have questions

Hello, Gonzo. I have a couple of questions for you: why is there such opposition to including the |border=2 parameter to the |basestyle= of all 32 NFL team templates? I'm convinced that there's an established WP:CONSENSUS against it, so should I drop the stick and move on? Also, I saw that you said that you would not be opposed to me regaining the template editor right. Would you be willing to vouch for me? CharlesEditor23, look I cannot speak for everyone else, but my opposition lies in my belief that additional bordering and coloring in these templates is unnecessary and creates visual clutter that takes away from the importance of a template: the links. That said, I am not going to debate it with you. That's my opinion. Yes, I would recommend you move on. Although I don't plan to oppose any change to your user rights, I also don't plan to vouch for you (or in general, anyone).

Lastly, as a general piece of unsolicited advice: I would recommend you stop messing around with colors and focus your efforts in building the encyclopedia. Although I know everyone has their passion and niche, I think at this point it is just becoming a distraction that is preventing you and others from meaningfully contributing to the encyclopedia. Thank you for addressing my questions directly and honestly. That's what I was trying to get over at WT:NFL with that past discussion, but no one else wanted to explain their opposition or engage in a discussion. I just don't know why I can't get any responses from Hey man im josh or any other editor. Is there a way you would be willing to help me get back the template editor right? I don't want to get it back just to continue the past poor editing behavior. I really only want it so that I can contribute in a meaningful way toward updating URL source references over at Module:College color/data. CharlesEditor23 (talk) 15:35, 31 March 2025 (UTC)

CharlesEditor23 I don't work in the rights side of things from an admin perspective, so I don't have much to offer here. Like I said, I won't oppose you getting those rights if another admin grants them, but I don't feel comfortable advocating for their restoration. « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 19:30, 31 March 2025 (UTC)
