[edit]Early years (1912-1923
[edit]The station opened on 1 July 1908 on the original route of the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway, but was not one of the original stations.[1]
London and Midland Scottish Railways
[edit]On 18 December 1931, a freight train became divided at Dagenham Dock. Due to a signalman's error, a passenger train ran into the rear portion of the freight. Two people were killed and several were injured in the incident.[2]
