Submission declined on 22 February 2025 by Mcmatter (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. Declined by Mcmatter 33 days ago. | ![]() |
Comment: Written as an advertisement masquerading as an article. No effort was made to demonstrate notability following the previous desclination prior to resubmission. Bobby Cohn (talk) 15:41, 23 February 2025 (UTC)

Biography
[edit]Early life and career
[edit]Marc Paulin holds two master degrees, he studied industrial Design at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Essen, and architecture at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
After working in Vienna, London and Rotterdam, Marc Paulin founded his own office. He began his work at CoopHimmelb(l)au in 1999, and moved to Rotterdam 2005 to start working for Rem Koolhaas and his Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA). At CoopHimmelb(l)au he was in charge of Expo02 (1999).[1]. At OMA he was responsible for Science Center Hamburg (2007)[2][3] and International Criminal Court (2008)[4]
He is the principal of MARC PAULIN Architecture[5] with offices in Berlin and Bangalore[6]. The Berlin office was established in 2011[7]. His work fuses elements of realistic, futuristic and permanent architecture.
The best known works include the Shift Towers 111 / 11 / 1 (2013)[8], the Desert House (2016), Sausage Towers (2011), Castle City (2011)[9], Snake Residentials (2019).
Architectural Theory
[edit]Marc Paulin analyses the nature of architectural thought in a very different and unusual way: Architectural Panic / Social Cohesion Kitsch / Tolerance Paradoxon / Factory Forestation / Toxic Positivism / Desperate Decoration / NewSpeak / Masterplan & Slaveplan / Mimikry Zombies or Inefficient Efficiency are topics, researched in his work. He wants to expose the clichés of the current architectural thinking.
