Clarify this: "This case did not have a ruling in a lower court or the U.S. Supreme Court, it was resolved before it went to trial", but this article has a Supreme Court Ruling section and appears to have went to the Supreme Court. The primary source says Justice Burger authored the majority opinion instead of Stevens.
