Two Prosecutors is an upcoming historical drama film written and directed by Sergei Loznitsa, based on the novel of the same name by Georgy Demidov. The film will have its world premiere in the main competition of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Palme d'Or.[1]
Premise
[edit]In 1937, a young Soviet prosecutor comes across a letter written by a prisoner. Believing the man to be the victim of NKVD corruption, the prosecutor seeks out justice with the Procurator General.[2]
