Trio World Academy, established in 2007 in Sahakara Nagar, Bangalore, India, is a private international school offering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Cambridge IGCSE, and the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP). The school has served students from over 55 nationalities and currently represents over 28 countries. Its core values are Leadership, Academic Excellence, Discipline, and Service. Through the IB and Cambridge curricula, the school fosters independent thinking, strong research skills, time management, global citizenship, and differentiated learning. Trio World Academy emphasizes a holistic approach to education, nurturing each student’s unique potential within a diverse and inclusive environment.

IB PYP (Primary Year Programme)

The school offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) from Nursery through Grade 5. The PYP encourages inquiry-based learning and helps students develop an understanding of the complex and interconnected world. It aims to build skills in communication, perspective-taking, and responsible citizenship, while promoting international mindedness and metacognitive learning.

IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education)

Trio is also affiliated with Cambridge University, UK and follows Secondary 1 and IGCSE programme from grade 6 till 10th. Cambridge IGCSE helps improve performance by developing skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving. It is the perfect springboard to IB Diploma.

IB Diploma

Trio World Academy offers an IB Diploma program for grades 11 and 12. It is recognised and valued by the Indian National Universities. Some international universities also give extra credit points for DP graduates. IB encourages critical thinking, confidence building & Independent learning, time management skills & Internationally mindedness.

In the year 2021, Sanjana Choudary Gunapaneni has scored a perfect score (45) in the IB DP Examination.[3]

  6. The students, with the help of Fair Trade India, made India's largest T-shirt and the world's largest sustainable T-shirt made out of fair trade and organic cotton. It was unveiled at the campus. Approximately 380 kg of cotton seed was used to create a total of 5,140 km length of cotton yarn, which weighed about 94 kg[6]
  7. Japanese Supplementary School of Bangaluru Hoshū jugyō kō (補習授業校), or hoshūkō (補習校) runs in the campus

Every year, the school awards over $25,000 in academic and athletic scholarships to IB Diploma students[7][8]

  1. Aarav Nallur, in 2019 at the age of 9, while still in Grade 4, took the IGCSE Mathematics examination and got an A+ (88% in Advanced Mathematics).[9][10]
  2. Virat Karan our primary student attempted a World record in painting[11][12]
  3. Nikaya of IGCSE got the highest marks in sociology in India, 2015-16 session
  4. Pranav Vivek was among the top six students in India selected for the Times of India’s AI Summer Camp.[1]
  5. Rikitha won the Girls' 10–12 Year Old Division for creating the world's smallest paper chatterbox measuring just 0.15 inches (4 mm) at Kids World Record [2]

Trio World School

The ICSE wing of the institution operates under the name Trio World School (TWS). It follows a blended experiential curriculum up to Class 7, integrating hands-on learning with academic instruction. Founded on the principles of experiential education and core values, the school emphasizes a balanced approach, giving equal importance to academics and co-curricular activities.

The cellist,Cellist Audun André perperik has, performed in the school in 2017.[13]

Karnataka Topper

In the year 2022, Adi Kishore has topped the ICSE 10th Exam in Karnataka and ranked 2nd in India with 99.60%.[14][15]

Government School Support

TWS students assist and teach English and mathematics at Kodigehalli Primary Government School. Every year, TRIO students raise funds to gift them uniforms, shoes, mats, and stationery.[16] The toilet and school building were constructed with the help of the student council and management efforts.[17][18]
