Triangle Land Conservancy (TLC) is a nonprofit conservation land trust and charitable organization operating in the Triangle region of central North Carolina. As of 2025, it has protected 23,000 acres (9,300 ha) of land in Chatham, Durham, Johnston, Lee, Orange, and Wake counties.[1][2]
Triangle Land Conservancy was founded in 1983 following a recommendation by a 150-person task force commissioned by the Triangle J Council of Governments (TJCOG), known today as the Central Pines Regional Council.[3] The conservancy made its first land purchase in 1987, and joined the Land Trust Alliance the following year. It became accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission in 2016.[4]
