For the textbook Soria Moria she was awarded the Brage Prize in 1992, along with Håkon Askeland, Ingeborg Askeland, Anna A. Knudsen, Øyvind Knudsen, and Kjersti Werner.[2]

Her work Norsk barneliteraturhistorie earned her the Kari Skjønsberg Prize [no] in 1997, shared with co-authors Gunvor Risa [no] and Karin Beate Vold [no].[1][3] In his literary history from 1998, Øystein Rottem particularly mentions Norsk barneliteraturhistorie as an important source for the treatment of children’s literature in his work.[4]: 12
