Tijan Sally McKenna (born 8 September 2004) is a footballer who plays as a defender for Perth Glory FC. Born in Australia, she has been called up to represent Croatia internationally.
Early life
[edit]McKenna was born on 8 September 2004 in Australia. The older sister of Australian soccer player Leticia McKenna, she attended John Curtin College of the Arts in Australia.[1]
Club career
[edit]McKenna started her career with Australian side Perth Glory FC in 2021. Australian news website Impetus Football wrote in 2022 that she was "another of Perth Glory’s fast-rising stars" while playing for the club.[2] Subsequently, she was sent on loan to Australian side South Melbourne FC before being sent on loan to Australian side Heidelberg United FC in 2022 and 2023. Six months later, she signed for Australian side Melbourne City FC. Ahead of the 2024–25 season, she returned to Australian side Perth Glory FC.[3]
International career
[edit]McKenna was an Australia youth international and has been called up to represent Croatia internationally. In 2019, she played for the Australia women's national under-16 soccer team at the 2019 AFC U-16 Women's Championship.[4]
