Texas International Education Consortium

The Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC) is an international, private, non-profit corporation located in Austin, Texas. Founded in 1985,[1] it works with 32 public universities in Texas on a variety of international projects,[2] including founding new universities, developing university programs, creating cooperation programs between international universities, and facilitating K-12 education.

TIEC taps into our far reaching higher education network to help Texas universities and international partners make effective and lasting relationships. We make the connection between Texas expertise and global economic and workforce trends. We match capacity with opportunity and vice versa.

TIEC brings four decades of experience globally promoting our member institutions, amplifying their excellence in internationalization, innovation, research, and student learning outcomes with the intention of initiating new activated partnerships.[citation needed]
