"Historical"
[edit]On User:GnocchiFan's edit to remove this word, I was using the same wording as MOS:IMAGES, that
Original historical images should always be used in place of AI upscaled versions.
I don't know if there'd be any calendar cut-off for that: a photo taken today of a person or a place is, I suppose, recording a moment in history and we'd rather have the original image.
But this template isn't intended to cover the use of all AI-upscaled images, only those which go against MOS:IMAGES and need replacing. Belbury (talk) 21:48, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- I will regard any drive-by placement of this banner as disruptive editing. I do not know why it was not deleted. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 19:31, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
