Template not showing

[edit]

I tried to change {{Infobox Korean television name}} to {{Infobox Korean film name}} but the latter is not showing as I did here so I reverted it. Hoping it can fix. Thanks! —— 98Tigerius (talk) 08:40, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Literal meaning

[edit]

Hi @Paper9oll: Just want to ask if we need to italicize the "literal meaning" (|lk=). For Infobox name module, the "translation" is automatically showing as italicized. Thank you. Accireioj (talk) 05:39, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Accireioj  Done should be working this time round without any side effects. Do update here if you happened to encounter any side effects. 🍊 Paper9oll 🍊 (🔔📝) 06:24, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

Would it be possible to generalize the usage of this template? I'm thinking on using the template on the native_name parameter in the {{Infobox company}}. Incorporating the template would enhance the overall presentation of the Korean name similar to current usage on films such as Parasite (2019 film). Example of article that will benefit from the same native name formatting as mentioned film: Naver Corporation etc. 183.171.115.64 (talk) 10:02, 13 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@183.171.115.64 You could use {{Infobox Chinese/Korean}} which this template is based on. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 10:05, 13 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I did try using {{Infobox Chinese/Korean}}, but the label for native_name didn't disappear like it does in this template. By generalizing, I mean that it might be helpful to rebrand (For the lack of better words) this template , to general use (let's say Infobox Korean native name) so it would feel more natural when used on {{Infobox company}} 183.171.115.64 (talk) 10:17, 13 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@183.171.115.64 I didn't use {{Infobox Korean native name}} because it may get confused with {{Infobox Korean name}}. Adding |header=none to {{Infobox Chinese/Korean}} would make the header (Korean name) disappear, should get you the same appearance as this template. However, if you want Native name to disappear also, this is outside the reaches of this template, you will need to consult {{Infobox company}} instead as {{Infobox company}} has different implementation to {{Infobox television}} or {{Infobox film}} where Native name in both of this Infoboxes are coded to be hidden with or without using {{Infobox Korean television name}} or its wrapper {{Infobox Korean film name}}.
