I'm sorry, but this just seems, to me anyway, rather unneccesary. This creates clutter in my opinion, and too much of it. The fact that you've argued that the template should have everything related to the show will just make said clutter worse. I find that I can't read or navigate my way around the template without getting headache pain. Again, I'm sorry, I do not intend to cause fights or edit wars, and I want to maintain a good relationship with the people who edit on the site. I respect you and your decisions even though I don't agree with them at times.--Cartoon Boy (talk) 7:00, 1 April, 2009
This template's initial visibility currently defaults to autocollapse, meaning that if there is another collapsible item on the page (a navbox, sidebar, or table with the collapsible attribute), it is hidden apart from its title bar; if not, it is fully visible.
To change this template's initial visibility, the |state=parameter may be used:
{{American Idol|state=collapsed}} will show the template collapsed, i.e. hidden apart from its title bar.
{{American Idol|state=expanded}} will show the template expanded, i.e. fully visible.
