  • While the hook refers to him coaching football after the first departure from college, the article only discusses him as a "teacher and the athletics coach". Everything else looks to be in order, so this will likely get approved upon correction. ~ Pbritti (talk) 16:59, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
    • @Pbritti: Here's a ref for him being football coach. Any idea of the best way to add that into the article? BeanieFan11 (talk) 18:00, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
      • @BeanieFan11: Appending ", where he coached football" after "at Richland Springs High School" ought to do the trick. By the way, I greatly appreciate the immense number of quality articles you have contributed to the project over the years. You're one of the greats! ~ Pbritti (talk) 00:51, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
        • Thanks! @Pbritti: I added football coach to the article. BeanieFan11 (talk) 01:41, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
          • I have trouble accessing newspaper articles through Wikipedia Library for some reason, so this will have to be considered an AGF approval on the references. That said, copyright concerns are almost non-existent per EARWIG and the fact many of these sources are out of copyright, anyway. The image is approved as clear of copyright concerns but does look a bit too light for feature on the mainpage. QPQ done. Hook is adequately sourced and appropriately cited. I like the hook and think it'll perform well. Overall, great work! ~ Pbritti (talk) 12:42, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
