Article is eligible for DYK (long enough and recent GA). QPQ not needed. Earwig's is clear. Both hooks are interesting. I think ALT1 is more interesting but it's your choice. ALT0 matches the article and source (which says "It is also the most cold-tolerant, and slowest growing of the New Zealand Nothofagus"). You should probably reword this to avoid a copyright violation.
