I think ALT1 is better, as it's more situated in a real-world context than the former. But does the source explicitly use the adverb "reportedly"? Because such a word may be seen as casting doubt to an otherwise credible author or publication's claim in Wikipedia's voice; see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Words to watch. the exact phrasing is '高畑は大阪のドヤ街に泊まりこんだという' which without direct attribution i decided to phrase as "reportedly" although i'm by no means an expert on translation.--Plifal (talk) 10:37, 15 March 2025 (UTC)

OK, I took a look at the English translation on Google Translate, and the adverb is totally justified. Prince Erebor's review on other areas still checks out, so I will approve ALT1 as being the most compliant and quite interesting of the hooks.
