  • @Launchballer: Not a review, but given that the hook is based on the plot of a series, but the series is based on real-life experiences (as in it actually happened for the most part, or at least the hook fact did), does this still count as a WP:DYKFICTION violation? Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 11:36, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
So far as I'm concerned, the fact that this happened means that DYKFICTION is met. If I was to run "that Molly Kochan spent her dying days seeking sexual exploration", that would fly all day long.--Launchballer 11:53, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
Also, I'm planning on writing articles about Kochan and the podcast and running this as a triple nom.--Launchballer 16:34, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
Kochan's article is written; my QPQ is Ich komme. ALT1: ... that the subject of Dying for Sex had about 200 sexual partners while terminally ill?--Launchballer 03:15, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
The podcast is now published, my third QPQ is Pop (Gas album). ALT2: ... that the nearly 200 sexual encounters Molly Kochan had while terminally ill formed the basis of the Dying for Sex podcast and subsequent recent TV series?--Launchballer 20:00, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
I'm happy to review these three, but could you link them into the initial nomination so the template links them together? Will review tomorrow Lajmmoore (talk) 20:17, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
I already added the extra articles to the DYK header, nompage links, and credits, and just struck the first two hooks. What else do you need?--Launchballer 21:03, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
Thanks Launchballer I'll review these in about 12-18 hours Lajmmoore (talk) 06:26, 13 May 2025 (UTC)

Dying for Sex y y y y y y y I put in two notes for clarification as I didn't quite get the meaning or the detail. Diffs for expansion are here to here based on word count Lajmmoore (talk) 11:48, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
Molly Kochan y y y y y y y Article is good, unfortunately it is quoted in this incel forum which I really wish I hadn't read. Lajmmoore (talk) 12:03, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
Dying for Sex (podcast) y y y y y y y It would be nice to have the time signature for the podcast, but its no deal breaker Lajmmoore (talk) 12:12, 14 May 2025 (UTC)

Re awe: "In a very funny twist, this dude has the most beautiful penis Molly has ever seen, and while she gamely tries to make fun of it, she stumbles a bit." I think wikt:awe#English (a feeling of amazement) is an accurate description of how Molly felt. (By way of disclosure, I haven't watched this and don't plan to, which is why the Synopsis section cites its sources when it doesn't need to.) I think context makes it clear that Gail is Molly's mother (there are four people in that room and the other two are men).--Launchballer 12:05, 14 May 2025 (UTC)

Thanks Launchballer - maybe just say she thinks his penis is beautiful then? and can you just clarify with Gail, her mother, as it wasn't clear to me. Lajmmoore (talk) 12:16, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
Changed the first as suggested, added 'Gail' after 'her mother' in the paragraph above as I think that flows better. Also, that incel forum can do one.--Launchballer 12:21, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
Overall comment: all three articles are new enough, long enough, are well sourced, neutral, plagiarism free and have QPQs. The first article was nominated on 12 April, the last on 20 April, which I think is fine. The only issue is that none of the ALTs have references, if you could just indicate one here that covers the hook, that would be great. Happy to approve once that is explicit. Many thanks Lajmmoore (talk) 12:20, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
[1] (currently ref 2 in the podcast article) should cover it. Also, I don't cite the podcast itself for anything, so I don't see why a timestamp would be necessary. YouTube has a transcript for the No Filter podcast.--Launchballer 12:33, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
ALT2 thank you, good to go I believe Lajmmoore (talk) 14:05, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
