Pop rock?

I see the band biography and there was nothing about them that said this song was pop rock. It basically said that this band and song were a radio-friendly post-grunge band with the elements of grunge but in a more radio-friendlier sound that meant ready for radios. It wasn't pop or anything. This song is definitely not Pop rock. Coyote Ugly info

So, it was featured in a movie in the same year that the band formed, a year prior to them releasing the song as either a single or on an album? Seems dubious. Source link seems to have a fair amount of redundancy with wiki (many of the pages say "courtesy: wikipedia"), so doesn't seem to be a suitable source.
