Naming
[edit]Worth renaming to Number 19 (Welshpool and Llanfair)? —Sladen (talk) 21:10, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
- Perhaps something more akin to GWR 4900 Class 5972 Olton Hall would be best, although CFF 764 Class 425 doesn't really give much away in it's title. Railwayfan2005 (talk) 22:20, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
- So Resita 1351 or FC Turda 764.425? The current title does seem to be unnecessarily verbose (overly long). If Number 19 is the "name" of it, that could be included. —Sladen (talk) 23:02, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
- Some more information about the early years of this loco is needed before a decision can be made. The choice seems to be between builders, original operator and current operator. Of these current operator is most likely to change. The W&LLR call the loco number 19 in their literature so perhaps W&LLR 19 is actually best? Railwayfan2005 (talk) 18:34, 22 September 2010 (UTC)

Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway steam locomotive number 19 → Reșița 1351 – The loco was only at the W&LLR for a short part of its life, more appropriate to name the article after its original number Opolito (talk) 01:34, 28 March 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. - Comment - why 1351? This number isn't mentioned in the text. Also (assuming 1351 is correct) I would go for something like Reșița steam locomotive number 1351 to make it clearer what the article title refers to. — Voice of Clam (talk) 16:26, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Relisting comment. There seems to be a rough consensus to move, except that the question above about the number is not answered. Without evidence of where the proposed name comes from, I can't move the article there. @Opolito: please could you clarify this, and also add the number 1351 to the article with a citation? Cheers — Amakuru (talk) 06:33, 27 April 2025 (UTC)
- I've been looking into this more, and I'd like to propose we move the article to Reșița steam locomotive number 764.425 using @Voice of Clam:'s suggestion. 764.425 seems to be the most commonly used number in sources, for example in Peter Johnson's book on the Welshpool and LLanfair [1].
