Edit request in the first paragraph under the "By Israel" section
[edit]Seeing as the war is in its second year, and it's not going to end in the next 3 days, it would make things clearer to change "On 27 October, the White House stated it had no red lines for Israeli actions." to "On 27 October 2023, the [...]" Tahadagal (talk) 14:50, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
Edit request for a reference in the Proportionality and distinction section
[edit]Reference number 120, a Washington Post article titled "As Gaza death toll soars, secrecy shrouds Israel’s targeting process" (gift article, free to read) does not cite it's authors names. It was written by Louisa Loveluck, Susannah George, and Michael Birnbaum.
I know that it's relatively minor in the grand scheme of things, but it's always better for references to have more information than less.

Remove the following sources: [443][444][445].
[443]: Linked page no longer exists [444] & [445]: Provide different/additional sources as these are biased from Israel and not impartial 3rd parties.
Therefore the following paragraph needs removal due to insufficient sources:
"Several experts in international law and genocide studies characterized Hamas' assault as genocide.[443][444][445] Legal and genocide experts have condemned the attack, during which 1,139 people were killed, including 695 Israeli civilians. They argue that these actions by Hamas constitute a significant violation of international law and were carried out with the intent to destroy the Israeli national group.[445][444][443]"
Not done: [443] appears to be working fine. Haaretz and Times of Israel are considered generally reliable on Wikipedia and these are not exactly extraordinary claims being made Cannolis (talk) 04:12, 15 January 2025 (UTC)
