Video game adaptation in film and television → Video game adaptation – Can anyone move or rename the title that allows to be accurate positively? GeniusTaker (talk) 10:36, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose As "video game adaptation" implies that we are taking a work to make it into a video game, not the intent of this article which is about adaptations of video games into other forms of media. Masem (t) 11:57, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- Then what else for the title change? GeniusTaker (talk) 12:32, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- It should probably be something like "Adapations of video games into film and television" Masem (t) 12:33, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- "Adaptations of video games into film and television" might be the best one. GeniusTaker (talk) 12:35, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- but no, it has literary (e.g. book, manga, and light novel) too. Is there another way than film and television? GeniusTaker (talk) 12:36, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- The only option for title change is "Video game adaptation", similar to this title: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Literary_adaptation . Also, some sources from reliable and non-reliable websites have it name too. GeniusTaker (talk) 12:38, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- At the same time Film adaption describes works made into films (the reserve direction of literary adaption), and this is a conflict in reliable sources too. — Masem (t) 15:31, 18 September 2024 (UTC)

- Oppose per @Masem Killuminator (talk) 13:47, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- Cancel the move and change another title after Oppose per @Killuminator and @Masem. We have decided to move or rename from the old title to "Adaptations of video games into media". GeniusTaker (talk) 07:24, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose Per others, as it can mean a video game that adapts something else. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 03:53, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
New structure of article is off
[edit]I know a lot of content just got moved into this from film adaption (which btw you need to properly attribute), but the way it was added here is inappropriate in that the addition of the Reception section. That is generally used when there is reception to the topic, but here, most of that information on reception is related to the history of adaptions of video games into films/tv, and not reception towards such adaptions overall. It is, for example, important to note the success of the Sonic the Hedgehog and Detective Pokemon films as breaking the streak of such adaptions being notorious for being bad as part of the history of these adaptions. — Masem (t) 12:37, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- Rather than Reception, I can move from that you said to History for sure. GeniusTaker (talk) 12:40, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
