Universal Gym Equipment - Ownership Update

[edit]

  • What I think should be changed:

Update the first paragraph to reflect the correct owner of the brand: "Universal Gym Equipment was an American manufacturer of exercise equipment, in particular weight machines. It was founded by Harold Zinkin in 1957. In 1998, it was acquired by Flexible Flyer, subsequently followed by Nautilus, Inc. in 2006. In 2024, it was acquired by Johnson Health Tech." https://www.johnsonhealthtech.com/us/eng/about-us/news/johnson-health-tech-retail-inc-expands-global-market-presence-with-renowned-fitness-brands

  • Why it should be changed:

Page currently includes outdated ownership information. Johnson Health Tech acquired Universal in 2024: https://www.johnsonhealthtech.com/us/eng/about-us/news/johnson-health-tech-retail-inc-expands-global-market-presence-with-renowned-fitness-brands

  • References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button):

Not done for now: I do not see anything in that source about either Universal or Nautilus, presumably the current owner. Please reopen this request if you find a source that directly supports the given claim. Rusalkii (talk) 20:30, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
