Umpires vs Referees

I'd suspect that this originates due to the entwinement of Australian rules football history with cricket, which uses an umpire. I haven't found a source for this, but I also haven't looked. 175.34.2.245 (talk) 13:47, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
