Notability question
[edit]What makes a theatrical film notable vs. not notable? Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 04:37, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
- WP:Notability (films) or WP:N. The former is too restrictive imho in comparison with the general notability guideline, but surely this film easily satisfies both. I think common sense dictates any article with 6 foreign language versions or a major theatrical film with some big names involved is not likely to be non-notable. There are plenty - hundreds - of sources here and here, so I'm removing the prod.John Z (talk) 09:04, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Remake
[edit]They are working on (or just finished) a remake: http://akas.imdb.com/title/tt2039399/ — Tauriel-1 (☎) 08:53, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
- The remake has come out in 2012 as a TV movie. The article should mention the Wikipedia article which deals with it: The Philadelphia Experiment (2012 film). Oclupak (talk) 20:21, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
- There also should be a disambiguation notice mentioning the 2012 remake at the helm of the article dealing with the 1984 movie. Such a notice does appear at the top of the article dealing with the 2012 production. Oclupak (talk) 20:27, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
- Actor Michael Paré stars in both productions. In 1984, he plays the role of the good guy. In 2012 he's the villain. This fact should probably be mentioned somewhere in both articles. Oclupak (talk) 20:33, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
