Is this really a compilation?
[edit]I think this article should merged with the original article for The Black Parade, and put under a new section "2016 Re-release". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thatkitten (talk • contribs) 09:12, 22 September 2016 (UTC)
- Should we treat Living with Ghosts as an EP perhaps? – Zntrip 22:45, 22 September 2016 (UTC)
- It is a compilation album; it compiles both The Black Parade (2006 studio) and Living with Ghosts (various unreleased demos). It's released as a reissue and is in no way an EP. Sekyaw (talk) 17:40, 24 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Thatkitten and Sekyaw: The way I see it, The Black Parade/Living with Ghosts is either a reissue or a compilation album, not both. What I am more interested is the Living with Ghosts portion. On physical releases it is a separate disc/record. That makes me tend to think that we could characterize Living with Ghosts as an EP and The Black Parade/Living with Ghosts as a compilation album that bundles an album reissue and an EP. – Zntrip 05:16, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Zntrip: The reissue is promoted and sold as "The Black Parade/Living with Ghosts", not simply "Living with Ghosts". Classifying "Living with Ghosts" as an EP would best result in creating a separate article for it along side the compilation album, or making the current article somewhat of a double article combining the two, which both seem very unnecessary. I see the reissue as a good example of a compilation album, combining the 2006 album with the previously unreleased demos. Sekyaw (talk) 18:35, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
- But, it does make the article seem less confusing by removing "compilation album" in the lead or at least put it somewhere else due to the infobox stating it as the reissue of the studio album. Sekyaw (talk) 18:36, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
- I support the idea of just changing it from "Compilation" to "re-release". Unless Living With Ghosts is considered a separate EP, it's not a compilation. Think of Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, which combines the original Teenage Dream plus a bunch of new stuff--it's not a compilation, it's a rerelease. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thatkitten (talk • contribs) 08:38, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
