Efficacy

[edit]

quote <The time to the first dose of rescue medication required was reduced> this would be unusual in an analgesic, as it would mean, the patients who got the real drug suffered more!

Article edits

[edit]

I feel that the article is now in a very good position. More sections could be added for clarity, along with more references. However, if you are reading this, please don't change entire paragraphs and drastically alter the article. Hard work has been put into getting the article into shape. This has taken years. Of course, small sections can be added, as I have done, but on the whole, I have left the article untouched (I have, however, made formatting and grammatical changes, "minor edits").

Thank you for your understanding! @Boghog - Please take note of this. I am willing to work with you to edit the article, but again, please refrain from changing the article so drastically - it was in a very good shape, and I have returned it to that position. Please leave it be, and discuss changes here, if you would like to make them. I emphasise again - I (and many others) have worked hard to ensure that the article is pristine. @Gabavibes: I have partially reverted your revision. The restored edits should be uncontroversial, as no content or citations were removed. However, there were several repeated citations, which I’ve simply merged using named <ref> tags. Boghog (talk) 12:41, 3 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Gabavibes: The lead has a lot of good material in it, but it is becoming too long and contains way too many short paragraphs. According to WP:LEADCREATE, the lead should be one to four paragraphs in length. In this, edit, I condensed the material into four paragraphs. The lead does need a significant overhaul, and that is what I attempted to do in my edit. Let's work together to get the lead down to four paragraphs. Boghog (talk) 12:55, 3 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The lead should summarize the entire article, and should be presented in the roughly the same order as it appears in the article. Based on the current section headings, the lead could be reorganized into the following four paragraphs:
  1. Medical uses
  2. Contraindications/Adverse effects/Interactions
  3. Pharmacology
  4. History/Abuse and controls
Does this make sense? Boghog (talk) 13:19, 3 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
