Requested move 13 April 2018
[edit]Wiedergutmachungsinitiative → Swiss children coercion reparation initiative – The current name in German is likely difficult to understand for most users. Adèle Fisher (talk) 16:56, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
- Move request was initiated by a now-blocked sock puppet; see Talk:Swiss immigration referendum, February 2014#Requested move 13 April 2018. Dekimasuよ! 11:50, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
Move discussion in progress
[edit]There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Swiss minaret referendum, 2009 which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 11:00, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
Suggestions to improve the article
[edit]Hello, my name is Nik and I work for the foundation of Guido Fluri, who started this initiative. I think the article could benefit from a few revisions:
- The introduction lacks information about the actual goal of the initiative. Its outcome – ‘the Federal Act on Compulsory Social Measures and Placements Prior to 1981’ – should also be mentioned here.
- The "Status" section should be updated accordingly to reflect the counter-proposal, the Federal Act and the withdrawal of the initiative. The section could also be renamed ("Process and results"?).
- We are currently looking into the possibility of providing a photo of the handover of the signatures.
- The structure of the article seems a bit strange. Sections "Aims (excerpt)" and "Supplement of the Swiss Federal Constitution claimed by the initiative" could be merged. "Summary" is not really a summary, but more about the origins of the initiative.
I will start with an edit request for the introduction and plan to make more suggestions over the next few weeks. Please let me know if you have any feedback. Nik at Guido Fluri Foundation (talk) 12:54, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
Proposed revision of the introduction

I would like to suggest some changes to the introduction to include the goals of the initiative and its result. Thank you for your consideration. -- Nik at Guido Fluri Foundation (talk) 13:09, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
To be deleted (moved to next paragraph)
[edit], which was launched in April 2014
To be added (goal of the initiative)
[edit]Launched in April and submitted in December 2014, the initiative called for reappraisal and a fund of 500 million Swiss francs for Verdingkinder (forced child laborers) and other victims of compulsory social measures in Switzerland.

To be added (result)
[edit]In 2016, a counter-proposal by the Federal Council was adopted by the Swiss Parliament. The Federal Act on Compulsory Social Measures and Placements Prior to 1981 largely met the demands of the initiative, which was subsequently withdrawn.

Proposed link replacement
[edit]![]() | This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
I would like to suggest a link replacement. The official website wiedergutmachung.ch is no longer accessible. Apparently, it has been owned by a domain trader for some time now. Unfortunately, the Wayback Machine doesn't provide a readable version of it. So I propose to replace the link with the page Reparation Initiative by the Guido Fluri Foundation which was set up as a replacement of the official website (Guido Fluri was the original initiator of the initiative). Please replace
- Official website (in German)
with
There is also a German version available. Thanks! Nik at Guido Fluri Foundation (talk) 14:27, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
