what use of acrylic screen in surface computer?

What about a general category of tabletop computing? --Royalflight (talk) 02:12, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Royalflight -- surface computing was not invented by Microsoft, e.g. the DiamondTouch table was produced around 2001. (Reference: Paul Dietz and Darren Leigh. 2001. DiamondTouch: a multi-user touch technology. In Proceedings of the 14th annual ACM symposium on User interface software and technology (UIST '01). ACM, New York, NY, USA, 219-226. Proposed: Merge with 'Surface Computing' Article

[edit]

The Surface Computer and Surface Computing articles deal with facets of the same topic and should be merged.

Perhaps Table Computer should be merged too, as this seems to be a subcategory of surface computer (i.e., one with a horizontal surface specifically). The original Surface table (later renamed PixelSense) is mentioned in both Surface Computing and Surface Computer, so these categories are already recognized as including table computers, so the whole Table Computer article should probably become a section.
