COI Edit Request: Proposed Update to Opta Section (User:RainBow123456789)

[edit]

Hello, I am disclosing a conflict of interest. I work at Joele Frank and represent Stats Perform. In accordance with Wikipedia's COI and paid editing guidelines, I’m requesting assistance from independent editors to review and consider an update to the “Opta” section of the Stats Perform page.

The proposed updated content is below. This version improves clarity, updates partnerships, and includes citations to reliable third-party sources. I welcome any feedback or improvements from editors. If preferred, I’m happy to break this into smaller proposed edits. Just let me know what’s most helpful to reviewing editors.

Proposed Replacement Text

[edit]

Opta Index Limited was founded in 1996 to analyse Premier League football matches and was contracted by Sky Sports for their television broadcasts of the 1996–97 season. The company was sold to Perform Group in 2013 for £40 million and remains part of Stats Perform.

Since 1997, Opta has served as the official statistics provider of performance data for the Premier League[1] and has also established partnerships with a wide variety of major global leagues and federations across multiple sports, including La Liga,[2] Concacaf[3] and WTA.[4]

Today, the Opta brand, its stats and Opta AI predictions are used by professional teams and seen in sports media all over the world.[5]

Thank you for considering this request.
