The result of the move request was: Moved to Scott Turner (American football coach) — Amakuru (talk) 20:42, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
Scott Turner (American football) → Scott Turner (coach) – The other Scott Turner also played American football and used to be at this title[1][2]. Incomplete disambiguation. DrKay (talk) 13:23, 21 February 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. Sophisticatedevening (talk) 14:10, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
- Rename per nom. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:19, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose: Non-standard for American football coaches, otherwise I'd agree per WP:CONCISE. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dissident93 (talk • contribs) 18:30, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
- If the standard term is ambiguous then we have to resort to non-standard terms. * Pppery * it has begun... 16:06, 24 February 2025 (UTC)

- Support as seriously ambiguous.
There are a quite a number of articles that use "American football coach" (even when "coach" is unambiguous); that's not my first choice for concision reasons, but it's another option. Might be worth a larger-scale discussion at some point.Extraordinary Writ (talk) 08:54, 8 March 2025 (UTC)- Scratch that: Scott Turner (footballer) was also a coach, so this does need to move at least to Scott Turner (American football coach). Even Scott Turner (politician) is described as "a coach for the NFL’s Legends Community transition program", but I'm not sure that's enough to justify going to date-of-birth disambiguation. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 23:06, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- Move to Scott Turner (American football coach) per above discussions. This seems like the best solution; I don't think the football player–turned-politician would ever really be referred to as an "American football coach", as as far as I can tell, he was a transition coach for American football players.
