The summary currently describes Duterte's mayoralty with only: "Duterte won seven terms and served as mayor of Davao for over 22 years, during which the once crime-ridden city became peaceful and investor-friendly." Please add the following sentence: "As mayor, Duterte allegedly led a death squad that killed suspected criminals and his political opponents, and he later confessed to personally killing criminal suspects."

Not done Thanks, but it is duplicated content. The extrajudicial killings during his mayoral terms have been summarised in the last paragraph of the lead section. – robertsky (talk) 03:40, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

crimes against humanity is a little too openionish

[edit]

I think the words crime against humanity is a little too openionish and should just be called crimes. AlexroostermmanYT (talk) 18:46, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It is not "openionish", the ICC charged him for crimes against humanity so why would it just be crimes? Rynoip (talk) 22:02, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Wait crimes against humanity is a actual term for crime ( ͠° ͟ʖ °͠ ) AlexroostermmanYT (talk) 13:03, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. LizardJr8 (talk) 16:17, 13 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Mahathir criticizes ICC over Duterte’s arrest

[edit]

Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, one of Malaysia’s most influential leaders, has criticized the ICC for alleged double standards. He questioned why Duterte was arrested while no action was taken against Netanyahu.

PRRD and fPRRD

[edit]

In the context of Philippine news, PRRD stands for President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and fPRRD stands for former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

If we will use PRRD, please attach the term fPRRD following it to clarify the change in presidential status following the 2025 Philippine national election.

If used an international context, please attach an extra P to denote that they were a Philippine president (PPRRD and fPPRRD). Beholder0 (talk) 06:59, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The extra "P" would be our own neologism. No news media outlet uses "PPRRD". The article uses just his surname in most cases so its moot anyway. Hariboneagle927 (talk) 08:55, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
