I can't find a listing for the English voice cast. I do know that Chirin is voiced by the same actor who gave the voice for Unico, but I can't find a reliable listing for the Unico cast, either. It's rumoured to be Barbara Goodson, but I can't find any official record of that. Zekiw (talk) 15:40, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Japanese wiki gives the Wolf's name as "ウォー (," or roughly Uou, or "Wou," which is how it is pronounced in the original Japanese-language version. At any rate, it isn't 'Howl,' as some have claimed. If anyone fluent in Japanese can correct/verify this, please do. Zekiw (talk) 04:17, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just a FYI, I have seen 『ウォー』 transliterated into English as "war" which does fit with the movie's themes. Dj psycho squirrel (talk) 18:27, 9 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The entire movie has been removed from Crunchyroll and can't be found at the link, anymore. Someone should probably update that.

As per the comment above, I've removed the link to view the full movie on Crunchyroll as it does not appear to be available on there now (or any other US streaming services). Discotek Media released a region 1 DVD in 2014 with Japanese /English languages and English subtitles but it is now out of print. Presumably, the movie should still be available on Japanese streaming services and in-print DVDs e.g. the Sanrio Classics DVD featuring Chirin's Bell and two other animations (https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B003A8QOWW). NHK recently broadcast a new TV version based on the original 35mm film (https://www.nhk.jp/g/blog/ruyr_fo10m/). Dj psycho squirrel (talk) 18:16, 9 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
