"This"?

The phrase "This film" is used in the opening section of this article. Before I go to remove it (and for future reference when editing articles), I ask: is "this" a word that should be kept out of Wikipedia articles? 74.33.174.133 (talk) 15:00, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
