original sanskrit text
[edit]ye dharma hetu prabhavā hetuṃ steṣaṃ tathāgato hya vadaḹ,
teṣañca yo nirodhaḥ evaṃ vadī mahāśramaṇoḥ.
The text I edited was translated from ancient Sanskrit manuscripts such as Siddham and Lantsa. I never fully trust online scholars or sanskrit mantra, sutra "available on internet". For example, on the visible mantra page, many Chinese Buddhist scholars and Sanskrit Buddhist scholars all arbitrarily re-corrected the text. It's not certain that what they edited is true to the original meaning or acctualy original text. I believe in the evidence of ancient texts and keep the original text, respect the original content, and avoid being modified. Thw scholars or Buddhist without any knowledge of original text edit the ancient text to the "True" version. That's not the way ancient sanskrit text should spread like that. So, must follow the rule: Do not edit any ancient text while sharing knowledge or it's become not reliable.
The above text is translated from the Siddham fragment Lolvatveo (talk) 17:38, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
