Rephrase Notable cases
[edit]I think for Notable cases section, the paragraphs should start like this since we aren't using any bullets..:
On March 6, 2025, Shyamal Dutta, a Bangladeshi journalist and editor of Bhorer Kagoj, was detained near the Dhobaura border in Mymensingh while allegedly attempting to cross into India. (And then continue)
The intro of the persons in the lead looks kinda odd to me. anyone is open to reply with their opinions.

Speedy deletion
[edit]@Vinegarymass911 most sources in the article fail to prove the interim government's involvement & so called "persecution" in the article sources & edits clearly say that opposition groups were involved, not the government. And detention of journalists also occurred under Mujib, Zia, Ershad, Khaleda & Hasina, and even under Modi & Trump, so all of those do need such separate articles?? I propose it to be deleted, or renamed Persecution of journalists in Bangladesh and covering everything since 1971. Ahammed Saad (talk) 08:34, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
- Disagree with your assessments and oppose your proposals. You are more than welcome to create any article you like. The length of this article would be unmanageable if we include every government, and I would argue that persecution by this regime is unprecedented. You are welcome to suggest some edits to improve this page.Vinegarymass911 (talk) 10:51, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
- I would like, but it seems WP:NPOV, WP:PROMOTION & WP:ADVOCACY to me, I would have welcomed it if it covered other regimes too, specially the Hasina regime when Reporters Without Borders and other freedom of press organisation universally agreed upon a persecution of journalists. But in case of this regime, it's not universal. Also in my opinion, if press freedom is to be reported for this regime individually, then it should be reported for all other governments around the world individually.
- I intended to start a deletion discussion, but I wanted to talk with you individually first. Hope for a better & constructive discussion. Ahammed Saad (talk) 18:08, 24 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Ahammed Saad No. I completely disagree with you. And from what you’re saying, it would naturally seem to anyone that you have a conflict of interest. What did or didn’t happen during Hasina’s regime is entirely irrelevant here. If you want to write an article about what did or didn’t happen during Hasina’s rule, you’re free to do so.
