[edit]Verlaine died in 1896. There is little likelihood he named Paul Fort "Le prince des poetes" in 1912...
Indeed Paul Fort was called prince des poetes (a mostly informal, community assigned title) from 1912 to 1960 (see for example http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_des_po%C3%A8tes) but he was not named by Verlaine! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 168.103.87.121 (talk) 04:10, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
