I noticed that Queensland has been removed as one of the states that used to have OPV due to the recent legislation, but should it be written that it was removed? 110.22.236.11 (talk) 06:59, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Needs more...

[edit]

Needs to explain how votes are counted, especially if some votes are 'exhausted', and should include an example (or two). —DIV (120.18.86.140 (talk) 12:37, 23 January 2019 (UTC))[reply]

Correction needed?

[edit]

In this sentence: "In a transferable-vote system like the single transferable vote (STV) or instant runoff voting (IRV), a ballot is initially allocated to the first-preference candidate but if the first preference candidate is elected or found to be un-electable, the vote may be transferred one or more times to successively lower preferences."

Should that read "... but if the first preference candidate is not elected ..." ??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.82.240.157 (talk) 02:20, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
