I propose that OMG (rapper) be merged into this article. I didn't know he already had a page when I created it, since nothing was linked from Ice Cube's page or his I Am the West album. This article is a little bigger and I think he's going to be a lot more famous under his real name because of the movie. But if consensus is that it should stay under OMG, I'm cool with that too and you can take what you want from this page eg birthdate etc – Wikimandia (talk) 17:04, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not a rap/hip-hop person, but I am a movie person, and this movie is huge, and he's in a lead role. I've noticed other people making their acting debuts in big films, even as supporting actors, are apparently worthy of their own articles (especially anybody associated with Twilight eg Mackenzie Foy - created when it was only rumored she would be in it, a few days before it was official. In fact there is an article devoted entirely to the stupid name of her character - Renesmee (name)). So it seems like just because he's related to Ice Cube you think he's not deserving of his own article and should just be redirected to his father's article. Additionally he wasn't just cast in the part because of his dad, he actually won the part. Apparently Dr. Dre's son and Eazy-E's son wanted the roles too but were not cast. I really don't see how he fails notability, considering he already had an article. Wikimandia (talk) 19:05, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It's not because of him being related to someone that he isn't notable- the issue is that he has little to no fame on his own. Notability is WP:NOTINHERITED. Snuggums (talk / edits) 20:28, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Lede says oldest son. Early life section says 2nd of 4. Next sentence says of his brothers are elder and younger. Note that it doesn't say "older brother", but could be referring to two younger brothers of which one is elder, and mentions a sister. The only ref is to IMDb. Something needs to be changed - He's either the oldest child or the oldest son in which case he has an older sister or he has more than 3 siblings, but it needs to be consistent if not sourced. If there's no valid source found, I think all birth order mentions can be done away with with no great loss to the article, just plain facts stated.
