Does this count as a de-extinction?
[edit]Recently, a guest editor added this subspecies to the successful de-extinctions section on the de-extinction page. However, it was reverted due to lack of sourcing. Does Miamiti hybridising with related species as part of that last ditch effort to conserve the subspecies count, or is it too different from the Floreana giant tortoise and Rastreador Brasileiro breeding programmes that recreated pure or mostly pure individuals from hybrids?
