Spelling of the name
[edit]The mountain is spelled Mount Clef on USGS maps. Sometimes abbreviated Mt. Clef elsewhere. The ridge is spelled in various ways. On the USGS maps it appears as MOUNTCLEF RIDGE South of Mount Clef on the USGS maps (and elsewhere) is a neighborhood named "Mountclef Village". The north/south road next to Cal Lutheran University is spelled "Mountclef Blvd". I'm not sure where "Mountclef Village is or if it still exists. The neighborhood east of Mountclef Blvd is generally referred to as "Greenridge". And, the general pronounciation from the locals is like "MONT-clef", as if it doesn't have a "u" in it. 107.185.221.28 (talk) 01:56, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
